Phone over IP- Review of Phone Power Digital Phone Service

‘Phone Power Digital Phone Service’ offers ’VoIP’ services for home and business use. When you sign up, they send you an adapter that you link to your modem and router (you can also plug it directly into the router if the preferred setup does not work). Then you plug your phone into the gadget and use the phone as you normally would. They also provide IP phones that connect to the adapter in the same way as a standard phone. Given below is a list of some of the phone features that you can expect with ‘Phone Power’ and  the drawback that I could find during my  research on Phone Power Digital phone service.

Features

Free Phone Line: You can get a second phone line for free with one residential line. The line can be used to make and receive calls just like the first one. Both lines have the same telephone number.

Voice mail in Email: Allows you to access your voice mails through email.

Anonymous Call Rejection: Gives you the option to reject calls from people who do not display their caller ID information.

Block List: Allows you to specify numbers that should be blocked. You can either forward the call directly to voice mail or set it so that the calling party hears a busy signal when calling.

Advanced 911 Service: Automatically send your name, address and geographical information by dialing 911.

Forward Calls when Busy: This feature will forward all calls to voice mail when enabled.

Out of Area Number: You can have a N.Y number in L.A with this option. So people living many miles away can call you at local call charges. There are other options available as well like multiple numbers, call waiting, 3-way conference calling etc.

Drawbacks

The ’setting up’ process can be frustrating. Both the phone signal and internet connection setup can take some time even with the help of the tech-support staff at Phone Power.

Note: Any company that offers a service plan for around 18$/ month , should draw a comparison chart on their website. But the problem with their chart is that it shows flat-rates for all companies like T W Cable and Comsat (two companies that I checked) whose rates vary with customer location. So the chart does not serve the purpose of a comparison between company rates. Ask the customer support team for details on the conditions of their no contract policy.

As a ‘VoIP’ Company, Phone Power offers ‘a more land-line like experience’ according to PC World. Learn more about Phone Power Digital Phone Service. The author writes about different tele-communication devices in his articles.

Internet phone service – also called VoIP – is a great new alternative for your home phone, but how do you know which service to choose? See examples of what you need to consider when choosing the right Internet phone or VOIP service in this video from Digital Landing.

Why Use the Verizon FiOS Digital Voice Service?

If you need a reliable phone service for your home business, or for your office, and you don’t want the hassle and expense of putting in a landline, you can use Verizon FiOS Digital Voice to get the same kind of great phone service that you would get in a landline, but using Verizon’s ultra high quality FiOS fiber optic Internet service instead. Verizon FiOS Digital Voice uses VOIP technology to let you make and receive phone calls using the power of Verizon’s award winning fiber optic Internet service.

Because of the speed of the fiber optic network and the massive amount of data that the Verizon FiOS fiber optic cable can handle, you can talk for hours while surfing the Internet and never miss a beat. Verizon FiOS Digital Voice is telephone service that businesses and residential homes need, and it’s available right now for business owners and consumers.

There are a lot of advantages for businesses that use Verizon FiOS. If you have a small home business you probably don’t want to go through the trouble of installing another landline just for your business, but you need to be able to talk to customers and clients on the phone. You can get Verizon FiOS Digital Voice so that you can have a dedicated business phone line that you can use as much as you want, with no extra charge for long distance, and you can simply turn the phone off at the end of the day or use a soft phone that loads on your computer and can be turned off at night so that you won’t be disturbed after you’re done working for the day.

One low monthly rate includes voice mail, call waiting, caller ID and other services that you need to run your business effectively. You can also pay extra for features like voicemail by email and other services that Verizon FiOS Digital Voice offers to help keep your business running efficiently.

Verizon FiOS Digital Voice is great for medium size and larger businesses too. If you are using digital voice technology you can add lines whenever you need to add a new employee with minimal cost and aggravation. You won’t need to have a technician come out and mess around with your multi-line phone system or incur extra expenses by adding new landlines at your current office.

Adding a new line with the Verizon FiOS Digital Voice service is as easy as making a phone call and instantly the line will be active and accessible through your existing Verizon FiOS Internet service. If you need to cut off a line because the employee assigned to that line no longer works for you again, all you need to do is call and cancel that line. It doesn’t get easier than that.

Verizon FiOS Digital Voice is the perfect choice for any business owner or residence, whether it’s personal, a small business or a large business, and works great with anyone who wants to cut costs and make their home, office or offices run more efficiently.
