Question by Mei Mei: Will hearing my electric guitar’s amplifier on full blast for about five seconds damage my hearing?
I accidentally unplugged headphones from the amplifier when it was on full blast and it made a super loud noise for a few seconds. (I wasn’t listening to the guitar through the headphones…they’re not even mine. I didn’t realize it was on full blast) The distortion button was pressed in too.
I haven’t noticed any difference in my hearing, but I’m really worried. Has this damaged my hearing?

well… it may not affect you now, but when you get middle aged or older, you’ll need hearing aids.
