Advance Digital Technology for Animation

Who doesn’t like animation? All people from kids to adult are love animation as entertainment. Even animation TV series is one of the important parts of our growing age. Animation could be easily found in many things, from TV serials, movies, to commercials.

From the early days to the 90’s, animation was made using analogue technology. It means that every character and scenes are draw manually before it filmed. That is the reason why production of an animation movie needs lots of resources and time. With the development of digital technology, animation comes to the advance level. Computer graphic technology brings animation to the digital era. Off course the character comes from a sketch but most of scenes are generated using computer graphic technology.

There are advance features of computer generated animation. Using digital technology, the animation becomes much smoother and close to reality. Computer graphic technology also allows special effects applied to animation and make it like a real scenes. Even computer graphic technology is not only used in animation. It is widely used in movie production to create lots of special effects. Computer graphic technology is like a new revolution in movie industry. However, it doesn’t make analogue technology to extinct. Some studios prefer to use the old way to produce animation movie.

Animation movies have been entertaining us since our childhood. Well, you must remember the Donald Duck or Abbot and Costello. Animation brings comic in to life. It brings characters we read on comic books in to TV and cinema.

Animation is a work of art. Every series and movies need lots of artist who draws the scenes and bring it to live. Through the days, the digital technology changes the meaning of animation. With computer graphic technology, animation becomes more smooth and close to reality. It would be very rare to find animation movie production without computer graphic technology. It can’t be denied that computer graphic animation could please us with so many special effects.

But digital technology doesn’t make the old school animation to extinct. There are some studios still loyal on analogue technology and as a matter a fact, lots people still love it. Whether it is analogue or digital, animation is work of art and need lots of effort to produce it. From TV series to cinema movies, animation is great entertainment. And one thing for sure, animation is not only entertainment for kids. It is for all age. Or maybe no one of us ever grows up and remains kids in our soul.
